As the year draws to a close...

The next few weeks are usually busy for everyone. A seemingly endless list of engagements sometimes wearies us.

Whatever your beliefs or reasons for the season there is a common thread for us all. It is a time to spend time with those we love, friends and family. Also a time to reflect on those who are no longer at the table with us, whether recently departed or many years have passed this is a time to remember.

Take the time to enjoy the time with those you love.

After some family Christmas celebrations this weekend we are looking forward to a quiet Christmas morning at home. We will have lunch with my brother Michael and his family, the plan is to find a quiet beach on Lake Macquarie, to swim, eat, talk and play. I can't wait.

At the end of the month we will head north for two weeks to stay with Kim's sister and hopefully catch a few of the theme parks. This will be a great opportunity for me to capture some breathtaking moments and magical places. I have a few planned already.

During the last week I have spent some time developing the John Lechner Art Manifesto. What is a Manifesto?
  • manifesto is a published verbal declaration of the intentions, motives, or views of the issuer, be it an individual, group, political party or government.
It was an interesting and challenging experience. To lay bare my beliefs and motives is both liberating and scary. I have included a short video introducing the manifesto below and included a link where you can download a copy if you would like one for yourself or to share.

Finally I would like to give thanks to you, thank you for your support in the last year. It has been a challenging time and I really appreciate you standing behind me.

A big shout out to Ann from Lifestyle Cleaning Solutions, Ann referred a client of hers to me in October. This week they placed an order for a wonderful quadtych artwork and we will also have a pop up exhibition in their cafe for a couple of months. I'll share some more details with you soon.

If you need a last minute Christmas gift for someone you love and don't want to brave the shopping centres, give me a call on +61 449 105 295. We have a bunch of stock for immediate delivery.

Enjoy the holiday season and stay safe.

PS We do Gift Vouchers, we can email or express post them to you in time for Christmas.

The long paddock, out near Spring Ridge NSW

Heading out to Coonabarabran last weekend I came across a couple of stockman with about 1,000 head of cattle in the long paddock. It was one of those sights that most of us city folk rarely see and a big surprise if you are not concentrating.

We had a great weekend in the Warrumbungles as a family, we were there with Kyle's Scout troop and did two different hikes on Saturday and Sunday. Even though the hikes weren't particularly long (13km & 4km) they included a lot of challenging terrain and in total over 1km of vertical climbing.

I carried my camera and Millie (my drone mounted camera) to capture some of the breathtaking scenery. I will put together a complete video from the weekend in the coming weeks but I quickly threw together a couple of scenes from the footage into a little sneak peak here below. I hope you enjoy.
